The door that lets in truth is not the mind. It is the will. The genius does not have any better chance at finding truth than the person who is below average in intelligence. Possibly less of a chance!

Jesus said: "If any man wills to do my will, he will know...." So the question is, if you could know for sure that God exists, and that He has a plan for your life, would you be interested? Please ask yourself that question. If you answered yes, here are some truths to help you get started on your adventure.

Another way to look at this is through the book of Romans. The Romans had a legal system with similarities to ours, and the book of Romans is similar to a courtroom drama:

Romans 3:10 - "There is none righteous, no, not one. And,

Romans 3:23 - "For all have sinned...." We have been found guilty and we do not deserve a relationship with God! We deserve eternal separation from Him. If you do not believe this, you have a will problem.

Romans 6:23 - "The wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord." The creator of the universe became human in order to die for us! The good news is that a relationship with God and eternal life is available as a gift. There is a difference between earnings and a gift:

Romans 4:4-5 - "Now for the one who works, his payment is not considered a gift, but rather earnings. However, to someone who does not work, but merely believes the one who justifies the ungodly, his faith is put on his account as righteousness.

Romans 10:9-11 - "If you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus, and believe in your heart that God has raised him from the dead, you shall be saved. For with the heart man believes resulting in righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made resulting in salvation. For the scripture says, "Whosoever believes on Him shall not be ashamed". It is important to tell others that you are a follower of Christ.
